Webinar on The Importance of Standards in the Real Estate Industry - A Case for Following RICS Standards
EuroCham yesterday conducted its first session of Real Estate September highlighting the importance of standards in the real estate industry.
In this session, our speakers introduced participants to the RICS, providing details on different types of RICS qualification & sectors that it is covered. The speakers emphasized how RICS adds additional value for developers as RICS requires members to follow standards of conduct and several mandatory standards such as anti-bribery, anti-money laundering, corruption, and terrorist financing. Likewise, our speakers shared the necessity of RICS Standards from the perspective of real estate advisors and providing an example of one of the pathways in the RICS standards which is Valuation. We also invited a local real estate professional to share her view on why becoming an RICS member.
