Official Launch of the Partner and Donor Working Group (PDWG)
Happening now: official launch of the Partner and Donor Working Group (PDWG) of UNIDO’s Programme for Country Partnership (PCP), with a.o. H.E. Senior Minister CHAM Prasidh (MISTI), UNIDO, the European Delegation to Cambodia and EuroCham Cambodia.
The role of the PDWG is to contribute to building partnerships and mobilizing financial resources to execute UNIDO’s PCP Cambodia (with a project total of 60 million USD). The PCP is structured along two main components: (1) Agro Value Chain Development, including linkages to the tourism sector; and (2) Industrial Diversification, Innovation and development of Special Economic Zones (SEZs).
These main components will be supported through 5 cross-cutting issues: industrial policy and statistics, quality infrastructure, sustainable energy, circular economy, and women’s empowerment and youth employment. These issues are very close to EuroCham’s heart and we are glad that we can contribute to the PCP. It forms an important part of implementing Cambodia’s Industrial Development Policy 2015-2025 and accelerating Inclusive and Sustainable Industrial Development (ISID).
