Meeting with His Excellency Kitti Settha Pandita CHAM Prasidh, Senior Minister and Minister of Industry, Science, Technology, and Innovation (MISTI)
This afternoon, EuroCham met with His Excellency Kitti Settha Pandita CHAM Prasidh, Senior Minister and Minister of Industry, Science, Technology, and Innovation (MISTI).
EuroCham's Chairman, Mr Tassilo BRINZER, praises the successful cooperation between EuroCham and MISTI and stresses that small and medium enterprises (SMEs) require all possible support. Global climate- and sustainable development goals could impact Cambodia as a sourcing destination and need to be embraced by Cambodia in a way that benefits the private sector. EuroCham works hard to pitch Cambodia as +1 market for investors already active in South-East Asia.
From the Ministry’s side, His Excellency has touched upon the decision to appoint MISTI as the single institution in charge of registration of processed food which resolves the problem of duplicated responsibilities from different national institutions. Upcoming: discussion on EuroCham's White Book recommendations, particularly in the ICT-and automotive sector.
