Webinar on Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP)

On Thursday 21st January 2021, EuroCham Cambodia along with other European Chambers of Commerce across Asia-Pacific countries co-hosted a Webinar on “Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) - a new trade agreement that will shape global economics”. More than 300 participants from various countries joined us, thank you very much!

Special thanks to Mr. LY Tayseng, Chairman of EuroCham’s Tax Committee, for his insights on the impact of RCEP as the representative of EuroCham Cambodia and to EuroCham Singapore for this initiative.

The RCEP is a trade pact which aims to deepen and broaden trade relations between the ASEAN nations, along with Australia, China, Japan, South Korea and New-Zealand through the establishment of a modern, comprehensive, high-quality, and mutually beneficial economic partnership across a mix of high-income, middle-income and low-income countries.

RCEP countries together account for a third of the world’s GDP and almost half the world’s population. The agreement provides a framework aimed at lowering trade barriers and securing improved market access for goods and services for businesses in the region.
