Meeting with H.E. Mr. PAN Sorasak, Minister of Commerce
On 22 October 2020, EuroCham met H.E. Mr PAN Sorasak, Minister of Commerce, to introduce the new Chairman of the Board of Directors and to strengthen cooperation between the two entities.
During the meeting, H.E. Mr PAN Sorasak informed EuroCham about the 13th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM13), planned for mid-2021, and shared information on the implementation of the 2019 E-Commerce Law. The Minister also provided an insightful update on the free trade agreements (FTA) between Cambodia and China, South Korea, Japan, Russia and more, as well as the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) agreement, which is set to be signed in mid-November 2020.
From EuroCham, Mr Tassilo BRINZER praised the successful past and ongoing cooperation between the two entities and raised the zero-carbon policy adopted by major European companies to be carbon neutral by 2030. He also agreed to assist the Ministry in organising the Asia-Europe Economic and Business Forum which will be held in Cambodia in mid-2021.
