Recap: Welcoming SEBSEAM Partner Projects from ASEAN
On September 14 th and 15 th , the European Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia welcomed SEBSEAM
partner projects from across South East Asia to our headquarters in Phnom Penh for a two day
coordination meeting. The attending SEBSEAM project executives of Indonesia (EU-Indonesia Business
Network), Laos (The European Chamber of Commerce in LAO PDR), Malaysia (EU-Malaysia Chamber of
Commerce and Industry), Myanmar (The European Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar), Philippines
(The European Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines), and Vietnam (EU-Vietnam Business Network)
were present.
Numerous topics were covered, ranging from advocacy, communication strategies, outreach activities,
sustainability, and how to leverage the chamber’s networks to increase trade/investment in the South
East Asia region. In addition to the meeting, EuroCham Cambodia organized a networking event where
our members and Cambodian companies had the opportunity to meet with our SEBSEAM partners and
discuss the opportunities for business development in the respective partner countries. The two day
event concluded with the signings of a Memorandum of Understanding between EuroCham Cambodia
and its SEBSEAM partners to strengthen our positioning as regional experts, increase our visibility to
European stakeholders and create an environment to foster additional synergies across the regional
marketplaces.
