Announcement no. 294 on Pregnant Woman Workers can Leave 15 Minutes Early
The Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training hereby would like to inform the owners and directors of the garments/enterprises/establishments under the scope of the Labour Law that: based on highly recommendation statement of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN SEN, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia and referred to the regulations on occupational safety and health for the workers and safety under the provision of Cambodia labour law required all enterprises/establishments and any workplaces shall provide the necessary conditions to ensure of workers’ health and safety. Therefore, the owners and directors of the garments/enterprises/establishments shall allow pregnant workers with the term starting from 3 months can leave from the workplace at least 15 minutes early for taking care her pregnancy and well-being of herself.
In the meanwhile, the employers shall keep the wage and other fringe benefits according to the Cambodia labour law for the pregnant women, those who will allowed to leave the office early, normal.
The Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training strongly hope that the owners and directors of the garments/enterprises/establishments shall effectively follow this announce from the singed date onward.
