Keep Up With EuroCham | October 2016

1. G-PSF Working Group D meeting at the Ministry of Economy and Finance - October 4th

The meeting discussed issues in the field of telecommunication, mining, hotel and aspects on Law on Secured Transaction. A week after the meeting the Ministry issued Circular [sic] 011 to waive the tax on Fringe Benefits on some allowances. EuroCham Chairmen of Tax Committee and Automotive Committee also attended the meeting.


2. Real Estate and Construction Committee meeting with Mission du Patrimonies - October 7th

The meeting at the Royal University of Fine Arts focused on possible collaboration on the project of urban heritage conservation in Kratie province which is part of the implementation of MOU between EuroCham and the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction. 


3. Meeting of EuroCham Real Estate and Construction newly elected Executive Committee - October 11th

This is the first REC ExCom meeting after the election in September 2016. The meeting reviewed the work plan of the committee and define step forward, especially on the implementation of MOU with the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction. 


4. EuroCham's Real Estate and Construction Committee met with Dr. Chann Sorphal - October 13th

It was agreed that within the framework of the MOU signed between EuroCham and the Ministry, the Real Estate and Construction Committee will support the Ministry with the publication of 5,000 copies of Booklet on Health, Safety and Environment. The meeting also defined next steps of collaboration between EuroCham REC committee and MLMUPC. 


5. G-PSF sub-technical working group on Tax Paddy, Rice, Young Entrepreneur Specific meeting - October 17th

EuroCham representatives attended the meeting as official participants at the General Department of Taxation. 


6. Relaunching of Transportation, Logistics, Import and Export committee - October 25th

The relaunching of the Committee was made in the form of Breakfast Talk with 15 representatives of company that are interested in joining the committee. The Talk focused on introducing the new Co-Chairs of the committee recalling the Committee’s nature and discussing on how to capitalize on EuroCham ability to reach out to the government and other partners in order to advocate for an improved business climate.
