Prakas No. 285 on Pchum Ben Festival, dated 15 September 2016


Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training hereby would like to inform the owners of Enterprise/Establishment which are under the scope of labor law that according to labor law and Ministerial Prakas No. 416 KB/BrK dated October 21, 2015 on Paid Public Holiday for 2016 and within the aim of facilitating worker during Pchum Ben festival, the owners and directors of all enterprises/establishments shall follow the instruction as the following:

1. Shall allow all workers to have four-day paid leave during Pchum Ben festival. Those four-day paid leave are commencing from 30th September to 01st, 02nd and 3rd October, 2016 instead of Sunday 02nd
2. Shall manage to pay the wages to workers prior to Pchum Ben’s day. If employer cannot pay worker the whole wage, employer is required to advance workers at least 50% of their wages.

Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training strongly hopes that all owners and 
directors of enterprises/establishments will effectively implement this notification as instructed.
