CCIFC Celebrates the French Week, March 21st – 27th
For the second consecutive year, the French Cambodian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFC) organized the French Week in order to celebrate French gastronomic and cultural heritage. During the special week, CCIFC organized and supported a series of events dedicated to French related topics, while our partners also joined hands promoting French products and cuisines in Cambodia with special price offers.
On March 21st, a French gastronomic dinner was planned all around the world with more than 1700 chefs across 5 continents. In Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, ten restaurants celebrated this event. The event was followed by several breakfast talks around the topics of “Work in Cambodia” and “Project Financing” and a round table dinner discussion on French entrepreneurship in Cambodia from the 50’s until today.
With EuroCham’s cooperation, CCIFC also organized a special networking night on March 24th at the FCC Mansion Heritage Bar, featuring French cuisine and drink degustation provided by our partners Khéma, Cellierd’Asie, Malongo and Marie Brizard. Delicate canapés, wines and cocktails were served freely to more than 140 participants; the event was a huge success.
Asides from promoting French gastronomy, French Tech organized on March 26th a conference on five Cambodian online business success stories, gathering around 280 participants and major players of the Cambodian economy who exchanged the secrets behind their growth.
On the last day of the French Week, the French Foreign Trade Advisor (CCEF) organized the Corporate Social Responsibility Awards 2016 at the Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra, aiming to highlight and encourage best CSR practices of Cambodia-based French firms. Four awards were given to EXO Travel, Confirel, E.C. Digital Solutions and Total Cambodge who are CCIFC and EuroCham members. These awards also provided opportunity to share a cocktail to conclude a successful French Week.
