Investment Conference on Opportunities in Cambodia

On Friday 15 January, EuroCham Cambodia and the German-Thai Chamber of Commerce (GTCC) co-organized an Investment Conference in Bangkok, Thailand.The objective of the Conference was to raise awareness about investment opportunities in Cambodia.

During the Conference, EuroCham Executive Director, Ms. Ratana Phurik-Callebaut, delivered a presentation to 15 German companies from various sectors including microfinance, renewable energy, automotive, and transports & logistics. Ms. Phurik-Callebaut emphasized that EuroCham welcomes the opportunity to facilitate trade missions by GTCC Members to Cambodia and is happy to assist them in finding prospective business partners within the local market, in close collaboration with the ADW (the German Business Group in Cambodia). Following the presentation, EuroCham’s delegation held one-on-one meetings with GTCC members so as to better understand their business model and be able to provide more sector-specific information about Cambodia.

Prior to the Conference, EuroCham also had a meeting with Finnish business representatives in Thailand on Thursday 14 January to discuss future collaboration with Nordic businesses who may be interested in expanding their business into Cambodia. Both parties agreed to explore arranging an additional investment conference in Bangkok in April to introduce Nordic companies based in Thailand to EuroCham Cambodia.
