The above strategic framework and programs lay out roadmaps, strategies, and detailed action plans of the Royal Government, as well as responsibilities and timelines for specific ministries and institutions to support and promote almost every business sector in the Kingdom. The strategic framework is categorized into three different pillars 1) Economic recovery, 2) Reforms, and 3) Building Resilience.
Attaching to the framework, the Royal Government also plans to roll out another round of tax exemption for Tourism and Aviation Sectors, and a 250 million USD budget for a direct loan to Agriculture, Eco-Tourism, and other prioritized sectors via the SME Bank and the ARDB Bank. (Please wait for the official announcement in the near future).
EuroCham applauds the development of this strategic framework, which will significantly restore the confidence and spirit of both local and international business communities investing in Cambodia that are being distracted by the COVID-19 global crisis.
