La Plantation is a social and sustainable agritourism family project, the perfect combination of traditional farming and modern processing. We produce Black, Red, White Kampot Pepper and the exclusive Fresh Salted Kampot Pepper (Gold Award 2018-Monde Selection). We also produce Red Long Pepper, Turmeric, Chili and local fruits. Grown traditionally and harvested by hand, our spices are processed with high standards in quality and hygiene and are certified organic by Ecocert. Recognized as one of the top activities to do in Kampot area, La Plantation is open every day for free guided tours, in Khmer, English, or French, including a presentation of the project, a spice tasting and
a walking tour. Visitors understand why Kampot Pepper has been elected #1 best pepper in the world, for its unique flavor and savor, thanks to its terroir and the ancestral way of growing Kampot Pepper. They can taste our spices in our 2 restaurants (Khmer and French).
La Plantation has also a social dimension by improving the living conditions of many people in this rural area and by taking care of the kids in the primary school of the village and for some at a private secondary school in Kampot.

We came first time in Cambodia 5 years ago (February 2013) We wanted to find a place in Asia where we could spend part of the year and travel around. We had been travelling in other Asian countries (China, Vietnam, Thailand) and we fell in love with Cambodia and Cambodian people. When we arrive in South-West Cambodia, we visited some lands and houses. But when we visited a pepper farm, we decided to be part of the Kampot Pepper revival. We knew the product as a food connoisseur, but we didn’t know how it was growing. Then we found the perfect location: in Kampot countryside, on a hill with a breathtaking view on the Secret Lake, Bokor Mountain, the sea and Phu Quoc Island (Koh Tral). We started the inception of a Kampot Pepper farm in July 2013 and after three years keeping the plants growing, we processed our first harvest in 2016. We decided then to open our plantation to visitors, develop the sales of our products directly at the farm, in the country and to export it in many countries. In 2018, we expect to welcome more than 40000 visitors on-site and offer them a unique experience in the countryside of Kampot.
