The European Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (EuroCham) was inaugurated on June 2nd, 2011, with the support of three founding European Business Associations (French, German, and British). EuroCham’s mandate is to promote the interests of European businesses operating in Cambodia, facilitate the entry of European companies into the market, and create an extensive support network among corporate and individual members alike.
We are now offering a talented individual the opportunity to join the EuroCham team for a short-term, full-time contract position.
JOB DESCRIPTION
EuroCham Cambodia is seeking an experienced events consultant to successfully implement an upcoming two-day summit, scheduled to take place from Monday, 31st March to Tuesday, 1st April 2025. The consultant will work under the supervision of the events coordinator and will be supported by the event team as well as other relevant departments within the organisation.
You will work in an exciting and welcoming environment with both local and international colleagues. Your line manager (events coordinator) and team members will provide ongoing support and feedback to ensure project goals are achieved successfully.
Objective(s) of the Consultancy
The objective of this consultancy is to ensure the successful implementation of this large summit by efficiently managing event-related tasks, stakeholders, and deliverables.
The consultant will undertake the following tasks:

Project Management: Oversee the Summit’s project management.

Vendor Coordination: Work with required vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Internal Coordination: Collaborate with EuroCham departments (Advocacy, Design, Communication, Finance) to prepare materials and implement strategies.

Partner Liaison: Serve as the primary contact person for Summit partners.

Document Management: Manage paperwork from suppliers and service providers, ensuring timely submission of quotations and other documents.

Other Tasks: Perform additional duties necessary to ensure the project’s success.
Deliverables and Activities

The consultant’s primary deliverable is to ensure the successful implementation of the large summit under the supervision of the events coordinator.

A detailed post-event report is required upon completion of the summit.

The consultant will be expected to prepare and run a weekly catch-up meeting, with both internal and, sometimes external, stakeholders.

Start Date: 1st February 2025 - End Date: 4th April 2025

All resources required for the successful implementation of this event will be provided by EuroCham, including, but not limited to:

Workspace in the EuroCham Cambodia events office.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate must meet the following criteria:

A minimum of 3 years of project management experience, particularly in event implementation.

Proven track record of working on projects with multiple partners and stakeholders

Demonstrated experience managing suppliers and vendors.

Strong organisational and communication skills.

Fluent in English (speaking and writing) and Khmer (speaking)
