This breakfast talk will focus on investment opportunities in Non-residential Real Estate Sector such as hospitality & entertainment, office space, retail and shopping malls along with industrial or logistics parks and assets.

There will be a presentation delivered by James Hodge, one of the most knowledgeable real estate experts in Cambodia, where he will discuss and outline the wide variety of real estate investment opportunities, including in the context of external shocks.

The presentation will be followed by an interactive panel discussion with a real estate investor, real estate developer, real estate agent/valuator, and a legal consultant. The event will conclude with an interactive Q&A session between the speakers and the participants.

Keynote Speakers

Mr. James Hodge - Director of Advisory and Transaction Services at CBRE Cambodia

Principally, James is involved in the delivery of investment advisory services to clients, but has general oversight of the firm’s research and consulting, valuation and commercial brokerage lines. James holds a degree in real estate from the University of Reading, UK and has a varied background providing commercial real estate advisory in the European market. James has been working for CBRE in Cambodia since 2016.

Moderator, Mr. Charles Amar - Vice Chairman of EuroCham Real Estate & Construction Committee, Head of the Real Estate Practice Group, DFDL Cambodia

Charles has a wide experience in all aspects of real estate law with a particular focus on sales and acquisitions, asset management, construction and hospitality. Charles is a qualified lawyer admitted to the Paris Bar since 15 years and he is professor in Construction Law at the Royal University of Law and Economics.

DR. Simon Vancliff - MRICS, Vice-chairman of EuroCham Real Estate & Construction Committee

Simon Vancliff permanently moved to South East Asia in 2003 and is the Vice Chairman for Real Estate of the EuroCham’s Real Estate & Construction Committee in Cambodia. Simon is a MRICS Registered Valuer and MRICS for Commercial Property. He has more than 16 years of experience in managing the full lifecycle of projects throughout the region. Simon’s projects consist of single tower to sizeable projects of several thousand hectares smart cities. In 2017, he received a medal of recognition from the Prime Minister of Cambodia for his efforts in development and implementation of large infrastructure projects that expanded Southern Phnom Penh’s access to surrounding provinces and regions.
