On 30 January, EuroCham, in collaboration with the European Patent Office (EPO) and the Ministry for Industry and Handicraft (MIH), will host a Conference on Intellectual Property at the Angkor Palace Resort and Spa.
Since Cambodia became the first Asian country to recognise European patents following the enforcement of the EPO-MIH Validation Agreement on 1 March 2018, the number of European patents validated has grown rapidly, boosting innovation and protecting rightsholders.
This free event will highlight the renewed cooperation between the European Patent Office and the Ministry of Industry and Handicraft since the implementation of the Agreement by reviewing the progress of European patent validations and the importance of IP in supporting Cambodian innovation, while showcasing the resources and services available from the EPO.
