His Excellency Akka Pundit Sapheacha AUN Pornmoniroth is currently the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Finance of the Royal Government of Cambodia. He has been promoted to this position since 2018. He was a Senior Minister, Minister of Economy and Finance since 2013. He is the Chairman of the Supreme National Economic Council (SNEC - a policy research think-tank for the Prime Minister) since 2002. Also, He serves as the Chairman of the Public Financial Management Reform Steering Committee; Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Cambodia; Governor for the Cambodia’s Council of Governors of World Bank (WB), Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).
Previously, His Excellency Akka Pundit Sapheacha AUN Pornmoniroth held various positions within the Royal Government of Cambodia, such as an Economic Advisor to Samdach Prime Minister; Senior Minister, Minister of Economy and Finance; Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy and Finance; Member of the Board of Governors of the National Bank of Cambodia; Secretary General of the Ministry of Economy and Finance; a leading Socio-Economic Policy Planner; Director of Cabinet of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC); an Advisor to Senior Minister in charge of Rehabilitation and Development and Minister of Economy and Finance; and an Assistant to Samdach Prime Minister of Cambodia.
