*** This training is being organized by EuroCham with the support of the Responsible Business Hub (RBH). RBH, which was launched on November 28th 2022, is Cambodia's first service help desk for local businesses. It provides tailored-made, free-of-charge information and advisory services on sustainability and due diligence risk management. This will eventually bridge the gap between national and international level actors in Cambodia's global supply chain of export sectors.
The output of waste has been significantly impacted, especially in Cambodia's major cities, by rapid economic and urban development, as well as an expanding middle class. A multitude of health and environmental risks, including rising air and water pollution, have already been brought on by ineffective waste management practices, such as collection, disposal, and recycling. Waste management and collection are simultaneously acknowledged as significant issues that must be addressed.
As the concept of sustainability becomes increasingly important, local governments, manufacturers and even private residents are seeking solutions to reduce waste volumes and waste collection costs. For employees in charge of environmental management as well as for employees and managers interested in learning about waste reduction and management in the workplace,
The goal of this course
- Provide the methodology and tools necessary to implement waste reduction measures and to improve current waste management systems.
- Gain knowledge about how to evaluate present waste management procedures,
- Create suggestions for enhancement
- Plan for implementation and monitoring, and implement lasting changes at their place of employment.

About the Course: Each day of the course, there will be one morning and one afternoon session of about 3 hours each. Each training session is made out of a presentation followed by a group exercise. Breaks will take place in the middle of each session

Our trainer is the founder of Little Green Spark, an environmental consulting company specialising in waste reduction and improved waste management (Zero Waste), based in Phnom Penh. Before her arrival in Cambodia, she worked for several years in the development and cooperation sectors in Europe, Latin America and Africa. Passionate about
environmental preservation, she decided to set up a structure to help businesses and organizations operating in Cambodia to reduce their waste and to better manage it
