Welcome to Europe Week 2024!

Europe Week 2024, hosted by EuroCham, is a celebration of European values and culture taking place in Phnom Penh from Monday 6 to Sunday 12 May. This week-long extravaganza will bring together professionals, families, and both local and expat communities to showcase the lighter side of EuroCham's activities while showcasing European food and culture.

We have an exciting lineup of activities planned, including a family-friendly food festival called "Experience Europe" followed by musical performances, a brief engaging discussion on the history of Cambodian and European relations, and various events highlighting the best of European products and services in Cambodia. With a focus on European food, music, sports, and business, Europe Week 2024 promises to be fun-filled! Stay tuned for updates!

 A History of European-Cambodian Relations

In celebrating of the long-standing relationship between Europe and Cambodia and in partnership with the Delegation of the European Union to Cambodia, EuroCham is proud to host an enlightening evening centered around the theme "A History of Cambodian - European Relations" with three distinguished speakers share their expertise on cultural, economic, and social relations between Cambodia and Europe.

We are delighted to welcome the following speakers for this special event:

  • H.E. Prof. Bundit Sapheacha Dr SOK Siphana, Senior Minister in charge of Special Mission (Multilateral Trade and Economic Affairs) and Chairman of the recently established Trade Policy Advisory Board, will be joining us as a guest speaker. 
  • H.E. Prof. Chhem Kieth Rethy, Senior Minister in charge of Special Mission and Chairman of the Economic, Social and Cultural Council (ECOSOCC).
  • H.E. Igor Driesmans, EU Ambassador to Cambodia

     

H.E. Prof. Bundit Sapheacha Dr SOK Siphana will discuss Historical Trajectory of Cambodian-European Relations in the following key areas: 

  • The Impact of French Colonialism on Cambodia's Development
  •  Cambodia's Economic and Political Journey after the 1991 Paris Peace Agreement
  •  Key Milestones in Cambodia-EU Cooperation

 H.E. Prof. Chhem Kieth Rethy will discuss:

  • Fostering understanding and trade relations between Europe and Cambodia
  • Prioritising cultural exchange, empathy, conflict resolution, shared values, partnerships, diplomacy, and intercultural competence
  • Building a foundation for stronger connections between Europe and Cambodia

For the third year, Eurocham is excited to invite you for a Taste trip across Europe and Cambodia!

Join us for a fun full-day event under at the beautiful Coconut Park on Koh Pich, as we deliver a spread of the most scrumptious European cuisine curated by some of the city's finest chefs.

This a free full-day event (food available for purchase) meant for families, kids and adults alike. We'll have plenty of activities to keep the kids busy and there will be music, food, and drinks for all, whether you're coming alone or as a group. We hope to see you there!

EUROPE WEEK: FUN RUN 

As part of the vibrant celebrations of Europe Week, we invite you to lace up your sneakers and join us for a morning of fun, and fitness at the Fun Run event, hosted in partnership with Koh Pich and OCIC, and proudly supported by Intercare Hospital!

The 5km and 10km FUN RUN is an inclusive event open to people of all ages and fitness levels. Our goal is to encourage participation and enjoyment, rather than competition (but if you are a competitive runner, we are sure you will give your all to obtaining a new PR).

Enjoy this run with family, friends, colleagues or alone!


Key Details:

  • You should arrive at 5:30 am to register.
  • Running starts at 6am sharp.
  • The meeting point is in front of The Elysée on Koh Pich
  • Water will be provided.
  • A medical team will be on site.
  • There will be photographers at this event, by registering you agree to having your photo taken.

There are great prizes for the winners of the 5k and 10k race, courtesy of The Ring Fitness, and Texas Chicken.

Delicious snacks and drinks will also be provided to all runners courtesy of BOOST Juice, Coca-Cola, and Krispy Kreme!
