Event Recap: Breakfast Talk "Update on EBA and Its Impact on Cambodia"
On 11 February 2019 at Raffles Hotel Le Royal, EuroCham Cambodia, and BritCham Cambodia hosted a Breakfast Talk on “Update on EBA and Its Impact on Cambodia”.
The breakfast talk was well attended by 170+ attendees. Our distinguished speakers included H. E. Mr. George Edgar, European Union Ambassador to Cambodia; Mr. Heshanth Fernando, Regional Commercial Manager at Marks & Spencer; Ms. Kohe Hasan, Directors of Resource Law LLC, Reed Smith's Singapore Alliance Partner Law Firm; and Mr. Matthew Rendall, Sr. Partner of Sok Siphana / ZicoLaw Group; Vice-Chairman of EuroCham & Secretary of BritCham, as the moderator.
The speakers discussed the current status of Cambodia regarding the EBA Arrangements, where Cambodia actually stands in the process of a possible revision of EBA preferences and also shared the private sector’s sentiment with regard to the various possible scenarios.
