1. ABOUT EUROCHAM CAMBODIA.

EuroCham Cambodia was inaugurated on June 2nd, 2011 with the support of the three founding European Business Organisations: the Chambre de Commerce Franco-Cambodgienne (CCFC), the British Business Association in Cambodia (BBAC) and the Arbeitskreis Deutsche Wirtschaft (ADW).

EuroCham was established with the objectives of promoting the interests of European businesses operating in Cambodia, facilitating the entry of European companies into the market and creating an extensive support network among corporate and individual members alike.

In this context, EuroCham activities include partnerships with the governments in the areas of taxation and dispute resolution, the creation of sector-specific Committees under the EuroCham Umbrella and provision of a range of services to European Businesses.

EuroCham is looking for a dynamic candidate who can assist in implementing operations of its Italian Chapter (the Italian Cambodia Business Association) while liaising with the Italian community in Cambodia and overseas.

2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

EUROCHAM is seeking a highly motivated candidate to fill the role of Chapter Coordinator, reporting to the Italian Chapter’s Board of Director, under the direct supervision of the Senior Relationship Manager and the overall responsibility of EuroCham Executive Director.

Key Accountabilities will include:

Leadership

  • Assist the Board in proposing a strategic vision and plan to establish and guide the Chamber;
  • Organize and minute Board of Director’s meeting;
  • Identify, assess, and inform the Board of Directors of internal and external issues that affect the Italian investment;
  • Assist the Board in promoting Italian Business and culture in Cambodia;
  • Assist the Board of Director on all aspects of the Chamber’s activities.

Operational Planning and Management

  • Follow up on the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of the Chamber;
  • Draft policies for the approval of the Board and prepare procedures to implement the Chamber’s policies; review existing policies on an annual basis and recommend changes to the Board as appropriate.

Program Planning and Management

  • Assist in overseeing the planning, implementation and evaluation of the Chamber’s programs and services;
  • Ensure that the programs and services offered by the Chamber contribute to the Chamber’s mission and reflect the priorities of the Board;
  • Monitor the day-to-day delivery of the programs and services of the Chamber to maintain or improve quality.

Financial Planning and Management

  • Participate in the development of a sustainability Strategy for the Chamber and work with the Board to secure adequate funding for the operation of the chamber;
  • Prepare and propose a comprehensive annual budget to the Board;
  • Research funding sources oversee the development of fund raising plans and write funding proposals to increase the funds of the Chamber.

Relations with Members

  • Communicate with members to keep them informed of the work of the Chamber and to identify changes in the community served by the Chamber;
  • Attract new Members;
  • Make sure Members’ needs are heard and incorporated in the Chamber’s actions.

Events and Communication

  • Assist in the design and organization of regular events, forums, and Annual General Meetings;
  • Participate in the design of a communication Strategy.

Service Design and Deliver

  • Assist EuroCham in designing and delivering new Services to Italian companies;
  • Increase the value proposition for existing Members.
Requirements

3. SELECTION CRITERIA

A university degree in Business Administration, Economics, or other related disciplines.

Selection criteria include:

  • Profound interest in internship and management principles as they relate to Chambers/Chambers of Commerce;
  • Ambition to set up a business organization;
  • Willingness to work in a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and leadership skills;
  • Excellent written and oral skills; public speaking and networking skills.
  • Adequate computer/ IT literacy;
  • High level attention to details;
  • Other internship experiences would be an asset
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English. Italian languages skills being strongly considered as an asset
