Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Advise the Management and develop the strategy of the company in terms of Business Analysis
  • Implement activity forecasts in terms of objectives, budgets, organization and resources
  • Participate in the definition of objectives and anticipates the results
  • Define the master plan for the company budget (per projects and departments)
  • Propose to the Management corrective actions
  • Develop and adapt analytical tools, indicators and procedures for management control using computer-based processing
  • Identify significant gaps between achievements and forecasts
  • Measure and analyse discrepancies in the form of statistics, dashboards, reports
  • Responsible for consolidating budget data
  • Monitor the recovery of customer claims and the tracking of payment of supplier invoices
  • Analyse stocks and their variations during monthly closing

 

MAIN TASKS

Development of management procedures and tools for management

  • Define the main guidelines for the controls and indicators to be put in place, and the reporting framework for management
  • Ensure compliance with procedures

Forecasts:

  • Participate in the definition of goals
  • Conduct economic and financial studies
  • Define year-end forecasts based on revised budgets for events in the current period
  • Build the main financial statements for 3 or 5 years by projecting the company's current results, current year estimates and strategic objectives defined by the management

Analysis and reporting:

  • Obtain and collect any information that may affect the outcome of the business, and translate it into financial items
  • Analyse monthly performance of the company by analysing results differences with respect to budgets and objectives
  • Write the summary of the activity comments

Development and steering of the budget process:

  • Define budget procedures and apply them to all departments
  • Collect, analyse and synthesize budget data from operational departments and profit centres
  • Produce budgetary synthesis documents, formalize and edit the full document as a guide throughout the year
  • Integrate budget items to the monitoring grids of monthly or quarterly results

Supervision, control of accounting closings:

  • Make reconciliations between accounting statements and results from reporting and dashboards
  • Provide accounting for extra computable elements to integrate into results for better compliance with the economic reality of the business

Improved performance of the company:

  • Anticipate drift, take corrective actions
  • Check that these corrective actions have the expected effects
  • Determine optimization areas and assist operational managers to save money

Implementation or optimization of the information system:

  • Participation in the implementation of some ERP modules in defining information flows, setting up specific applications, animating meetings for dashboards and financial information
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Business Management
  • Previous solid experience in Business Analysis
  • Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools
  • Strong knowledge in generating process documentation
  • Good command of English, both spoken and written (must be able to write reports)
  • Computer fluency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent inter-personal skills, must be able to communicate with clients, suppliers and vendors
  • Strong team player, working effectively with all staff members at all levels
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Global mindset, pro-active, analytical, problem-solving, paired with a very clear hands-on mentality
  • Diplomacy, tact, and a helpful, positive, professional presentation and attitude
