Health at Work in Cambodia
Considering employees’ health as an investment rather than a cost
Aimed at HR professionals and SMEs, "Health at Work" focuses on establishing a culture of health in the workplace based on prevention rather than healing. A modern trend has seen employers implementing wellness programs for strategic purposes rather than merely providing a nice fringe benefit, and this talk will explain why (and how).
Dr. Ly Cheng Huy, founder of HealthCambodia.Com and HEALTH Magazine Cambodia will speak about
- How to motivate employers and employees to participate in health programs
- Strategic benefits of implementing health programs
- Developing an effective health policy and conducting a Health Risk Assessment
- Using stress management to overcome depression and stress, both contributors of lost productivity
Dr. Ly Cheng Huy is the founder of HealthCambodia.Com and HEALTH Magazine Cambodia, and trainer for Health and Wellness at the Workplace (Health@work / Wellness@work), the first program on health, safety and well-being at the workplace in Cambodia. He was HIV/AIDS and Public health specialist at Institut Pasteur in Cambodia, Country Coordinator of ESTHER (Ensemble pour la Sodarité Therapeutique Hospitalière en Réseau), and Chairman of HIV/AIDS Coordinating Committee (HACC).
